Embarking on a quest to find the best ramen in the Maldives, we found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the diversity and creativity of the local ramen scene. Here's a glimpse into our journey across Malé City and Hulhumalé, discovering ramen spots that any fellow otaku would appreciate for their authentic flavours and unique island twist.

 

5. Ramen House (Hulhumalé)

Ramen House in Hulhumalé serves ramen with freshly made noodles. It has become popular among local anime and manga fans of the Maldives as as there are murals of anime on the walls and the Ramen is made by w Filipino chef who himself is an anime fan.

The Keyolhu is a Café and restaurant based in Hulhumalé, which also serves ramen among other things on their menu.

It might be a little trickier finding Sushi Zu in Malé as it is located right inside the popular Salt Restaurant in Malé, Maldives. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Japanese culinary arts such as Teppanyaki, Sushi and ofcourse, Ramen.

 

 

2. Blood Orange (Malé)

Inside the iconic “Gadi-Buru” (Clock-Roundabout) Blood Orange by CK is a fan-favourite restaurant for its hot Korean-style Ramen & and other Korean food such as Bibimbap.
We recommend trying the Ramen they call TNT, which comes with chicken/beef, nori, toasted sesame seeds, veggies and a soft-boiled egg.

Oishii - The House of Sushi is the first proper Japanese restaurant for locals in the Maldives. “Oishii” means “Delicious ” in Japanese.
