Netflix trailer for the animated film adaptation of "The Summit Of The Gods" from France

The film adaptation was first announced in 2015, based on Jiro Taniguchi's manga adaptation of Baku Yumemakura's novel.

Netflix has published the first trailer for the French-animated version of Jiro Taniguchi's The Summit of the Gods manga, which is based on Baku Yumemakura's original novel, which was first revealed in development by Julianne Films, Walking The Dog, and Melusine Productions in 2015.

Prior to its acquisition by Netflix, the film gained critical acclaim, including an Official Selection at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

The manga was published by Fanfare/Ponent Mon in both English and Spanish, with the fourth volume being nominated for an Eisner Award in the category of "Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia" in 2014.

Except in French-speaking areas, Netflix will release the film theatrically in a limited engagement beginning November 24th in select US theaters and on November 26th in select European and UK locations, with its streaming premiere slated for November 30th.

The following is how Netflix describes the film:
