One Piece Film: Red (ワンピース フィルム レッド) is a 2022 Japanese anime fantasy action-adventure film directed by Gorō Taniguchiand produced by Toei Animation.
A teaser trailer and poster were initially unveiled on November 21, 2021, to celebrate the release of One Piece anime episode 1000. This was followed by the broadcast of the episode. For the 25th anniversary of the One Piece manga, it had its world premiere on July 22, 2022, at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, and it will be released in theaters there on August 6, 2022. According to reports, the movie would center on a new female character by the name of Uta.
Synopsis
The story is set on the "Island of Music" Elegia, where Uta, the world's greatest diva, holds her first ever live concert and reveals herself to the public. The Straw Hats, pirates, Marines and fans from across the world gather to enjoy Uta's voice, which has been described as "otherworldly". However, the event begins with the shocking revelation that Uta is the daughter of Shanks.
